I broke a couple of my toes this past weekend and though I don't consider myself a wimp, I am still confounded by the pain two little toes can drum up.
Thus, my little foray into silence.
Wanting to get back on track, I am posting one of the drawings I'm working on for a children's book I wrote, and still hope to publish. It is about a little girl who lives in the forest and her excursion into the wilderness to help an animal friend.

This is one of several "unfinished" projects that I plan to see to its completion. Thank you for taking the time to look,
Have a great day!

this is beautiful :) Will you be colouring them or leaving them black and white? I bet they're good either way :)
Lovely drawing! Good luck with your book. Maybe you'll post an excerpt from it sometime???
OUch! Take care and keep drawing, posting and musing. Wonderful all.
Your sketch is wonderful! Oh I hope that you do get a children's book together using that sketch. I'm a big book-buying grandma!
In answer to your question: I go directly to the EDM message board on Yahoo to read messages and link to blogs. I usually do it 1-2X/day and can get through the messages and see some great art. The message board allows me to see the name of the EDM member - and the first sentence of their entry. I skip only a few. When I do open them, I don't have to look at the whole thread of accumlated replies or scroll past all of them as you do when receiving digests by email. What I don't do very often is click on the link to the EDM Flickr group. Many of our members post both places, but there are names on the Flickr group that I have NEVER seen before and some nice work.
Hope this helps.
It's beautiful and very sweet! Good luck with the book, I hope we'll be able to order it in Amazon sometime soon! Hope your toes feel better by now : )!
